It's just an old riff I came up with quite some time ago. I decided to put a simple drum track down and record it just because.
Joaquin has been having some gear issues and Andrew's been super busy. We're hoping to get back into the groove very soon. All of the songs for The American Dream are written and the rhythm tracks recorded. Just need vocals and lead guitar then mixing and mastering.

Totally digging that riff. In the first couple of notes it reminded me a little of the intro to that Steel Dragon song...can't remember what it's called right now (We Die Young?).

To be fair they weren't even a real band (just a fictitious group put together for a film "Rockstar"). Still the "band" is credited with 4 or 5 songs in the film. Not sure who played drums but Zakk Wylde recorded the guitars and Jeff Pilson (Dokken) did the bass work. There were two singers (Jeff Scott Soto or Miljenko Matijevic (Steelheart)) who did the vocals depending on who in the movie was supposed to be singing at the time. The song is actually "We All Die Young" And it's only the the first few notes of your bass riff that reminded me of the song...your tune is obviously substantially different than the song in the movie
Kind of a fun movie to watch if you've never seen it (although the ending is completely stupid). I was supposed be loosely based on Tim "Ripper" Owens joining Judas Priest...but I guess the film-makers didn't even consult Judas Priest about it...and it seemed to evolve into something else.

I don't remember there being much explicit debauchery in it....but it has been over a decade since I've seen it. So you can take that with a grain of salt.
