Heading for the distant fairy coasts? I like these guys but in measured doses.

I like that song but yeah that lyric needs some explanation. Bizarre!

I'll third that. I mean what came before it was pretty genius:

Voice of thunder rolling
Bells of Heaven tolling
Calling up those given up for lost    which, if you ask me, is a pretty epic lyric

.......and then we get the distant fairy coast???? 

I know. It was like

I find the the lyrics to be weak and lacking of sense long before they get to the "distant fairy coast":

Out of silence, out of plight - Not sure if this is just a difficult way to say "Out of the silent plight".
Tarred and feathered out of sight - Strange, obscure reference to a long gone punishment that happened in a dark alley.
Here we come to name the nameless - Who are they, where did they come from and what are you going to name them?
From the ashes out of dust - Now we're burning dirt.
Disrespected without trust - Trust and disrespect are never companions
Here we come to brave the madness - What madness?


So he were are, we'll be bound forever - Bound to what?
Scar after scar, we won't give in never - Very tenacious of you.  Terrible rhyme.
Come as you are, you're the one and only - Who are we talking about here?
No more convicted wrongly - Another terrible rhyme.


Voice of thunder roaring - Not a bad line.  Just not sure where it fits with the nonsense.
Bells of Heaven tolling - Whoops!  Should have used "rolling" in the previous line.
Calling up those given up for lost - Is this a reference to the rapture?
A thousand eagles flying - Why?  Where did they come from and where are they going?
Fearless petrifying - We're turning to stone but we're not scared?
Heading for the distant fairy coasts - What in tarnation is this tomfoolery?

But I enjoyed reading that. "Now we're burning dirt" lol lol lol lol

Wow, and I thought I was tough on lyrics. Xid has me beat!

I can gloss over a bad line here, or cheesy rhyme there, but when the lyrics don't make any sense, it's hard to listen to.  Musically the song rocks.

If I were to write the lyrics for this song, it would go something like this:

In the silence of their plight
They walk among us out of sight
We've come to honor the nameless
From the ashes and the dust
No respect for the least of us
We've come to end this madness

So he were are, on this side of forever
Scar after scar, still we will endeavor
Come as you are, noble or lowly
To the One who's holy

Voice of thunder rolling
Bells of Heaven tolling
Calling those given up for lost
On eagle's wings they'll fly
Hear the sounding of their cry
Calling those given up for lost

Nice rewrite, Xid. I'd get rid of the plight-sight rhyme though. Too obvious imo

I love Signum Regis, but the lyrics can be a bit strange sometimes.  That's why I haven't got their new stuff.

This sounds very cool.

Sometimes lyrics can be tricky for those who do not speak English as their first language.

That's true though I still wonder what, heading to the fairy coasts, even means at all?
