Oh now I see it, it's A 30th Anniversary edition. Have never heard of this.

I loved this when it came out...played the heck out of it. I still have the cassette that I originally bought..I was late to the CD revolution.

I need to pick this up. It's a great release.

Isn't there two or three of these albums (like in the same series)?

There are three in this series.  This first one focuses more on traditional hymns.  Vol. 2 is a Christmas album focusing on hymns of that season.  The third one in the series focuses on more ethnic hymns.  The liner notes for the third one teased a fourth that never surfaced.

Haven't heard this for years, this was the best of the three imo.

Although the third isn't as good as the other two, I still think it's pretty solid.  But everyone should own ROCK POWER PRAISE 1

I have a CD with Rock Power Praise with Christmas music.
This time I liked Christmas music.

If you like the Christmas album, Vonnie, I highly recommend getting the other two.  They all three are  great releases that breath new life into these old songs.

I've often thought that they should continue the series (although probably an impossible thing to do).

The third one, for me, was every bit as good.  Well, except for that insipid reggae song they threw in that just doesn't fit the album.

I have the first two. Great discs! While I enjoyed the Christmas volume 2, I feel it was too much of a studio album. I have a couple of Christmas compilation discs with each band/artist doing their own music. I had always wished something like that was done by Pakaderm (which did the Power Praise albums) as they had plenty of harder edge artists signed by them. Even if an artist or two did 2 songs for it it would have been great.

Let me check out those other two Rock Power Praise CDs.

I couldn't really get into this release, but loved "Metal Praise"

That's kind of strange, I thought Rock Power Praise was great, but I could never get in to Metal Praise.  I wanted to love it, and listened to it quite a few times, but it just didn't work for me.

I love that one, too!!!
