Vote for em> Christian American Idol

Don't know how many of you watch AI but this past Tuesday a contestant went on, who is a christian and had a christian rock band. His name is Jason Allan Rich. If you saw AI on Tuesday,he was the one one did a country song and forgot the lyrics but none the less went on to hollywood. He is from right here in Iowa. The music isn't necessarily hard rock but if you are into worship, ala Chris Tomlin,Casting Crowns, you may like his stuff. If he is in the top 20, he's got my vote. His solo album is acoustic rock. I really liked that guy a lot. Definitely one of the better contestants apart from forgetting the words.
However, I will vote for the best and for my faves. I wouldn't vote for someone just because they are a Christian. It's like all the evangelicals supporting Mike Huckabee even though they disagree with him on most issues. Makes no sense.

There were a couple others I liked also... One was a guy named Colton Swan and a girl that sang "Amazing Grace".

1. Not all evangelicals are supporting Huckabee--although the media wants you to think that. I am an evangelical Christian who wanted Thompson but is now supporting Romney.

2. It does make sense to discuss the Christian artists from American Idol here. That's who we support here. I'm sure there are entertainers on the AI show who are good that don't share our faith, but this board has always existed to spotlight the talent of fellow Christians. There are many places online to discuss the rest.

3. I don't watch the show, so it would be impossible for me to vote.

To be honest I am not an idol fan.
Here we have idols too but I never watch.
I prefer it to read a good book, watch a good movie or listen to a cool CD.

I am stuck watching AI because my wife is a huge fan. I enjoy some of it, but I tend to get bored. For a singing talent show, there is surprisingly little singing.

I don't remember this guys audition, but he does sound pretty decent.
