The local library had Big Trouble In Little China on blu-ray for $2 so I bought it. I don't think I've actually ever seen it all the way through, though I've probably seen the whole movie in little pieces here or there on TV. I'm looking forward to watching it one of these evenings as I remember it being a lot of fun. Plus, Kurt Russell + John Carpenter = good stuff!
True Dat! I'm still sitting here holding my breath waiting for "Escape from Detroit" ....or maybe even "Escape from Chicago"...really, the possibilities are endless just make the third movie already!!

I saw that in the theater when it came out. It was a strange one. I don't remember much of it.

In the theater yesterday:
MIB: International It was okay. There wasn't a lot of laughing going on and the room was almost full due to it being $5.50 Tuesday. The best jokes were in the trailer, and I felt I had seen most of the gags before. This, to me, was just another sequel just to make another buck or two off the franchise while being PC and building on an empowered woman main character. I don't have problems with empowered women leads. I just don't like it how almost every movie now has one. It isn't a crime to have a man as the main character some, too.
At home on Netflix:
Murder Mystery This film features Adam Sandler and Jennifer Anniston. For a rom-com, it was quite fun! With Adam being much older, the more immature style and crassness of most of his early films isn't here. Oh, there is some as it is A)Adam Sandler and B)made for Netflix. But, overall, the story was fun if not cliched, and there were a ton of funny moments. Even my wife liked it, and she doesn't enjoy his movies at all unless they have Drew Barrymore in them. (Which is great, because I get to watch Drew Barrymore!)

My wife and son saw MIB:I in the theaters a few days ago and they thought it was a fun film. I want to watch that Murder Mystery flick on Nefix but was waiting until my wife could watch it with me. My daughter watched it a few days back and she thought it was worth watching.

So the same man killed both Hitler AND Bigfoot? Man, I would love to see his trophy room!

That's the premise of the story...although neither event is even featured as a major portion of the movie. It's more a quirky drama of a guy in his twilight years quietly coming to terms with his life. It was an interesting movie with a goofy title...that wasn't really all that goofy.

haven't started Stranger Things yet, have been busy. As for Adam Sandler you and your wife might enjoy "The Cobbler". it is on Netflix, check it out. Has funny moments but not really silly stuff. We watched it last year and enjoyed it.

We watched that when it came out. We kept waiting for it to really get good. It had some cute moments, but it seemed like they wanted to make a low key spy/super hero movie but we will disguise it as an Adam Sandler comedy to get people to watch it. It just didn't work.
Murder Mystery was funny, though. Adam is talking about doing another film with Anniston and Drew Barrymore has also said she would like to do more films with Sandler as well. I hope they do and that they can truly make them fun films. It has gotten even harder to get people to the movie theater to see a comedy anymore. Netflix is a great place for them, and Sandler has learned this as he toppled Bird Box for week one openings on the streaming giant. You know he is wondering if he can do it again.

He doesn't sing. He plays TV theme songs on the piano in the style of Chopin.

You'll be surprise how good that little dog from the Wizard of Oz can sing. They really rock. Only the backing vocals of Iron Man sounds terrible.

The one with Miley Cyrus? I liked that one! The second one was cool, but I could have done without the dudes kissing. Sadly, I could see people becoming addicted or developing feelings for virtual characters if the role play were intense enough. That even happened on shows like Star Trek and The Orville. Sometimes, I feel like these sci-fi shows are showing us where we really are going as a society and it should scare us.
