Do you want to see a live performance of a new song that will appear on my next Big Chris & D'Bare Bones Band album? This is an 80s hair metal song that will go on my next blues rock album. This is one of those sappy lovey-dovey power ballads, but it is super romantic. The girls will all LOVE this one!
Behold, the new song "Please Don't Make Me Watch A Chick Flick"!

Thanks! It sounds amazing even with my drumming currently on the track. Hopefully, the drums will be done soon and I can move to mixing!
Then, I want to do an EP to learn how to use my computer for recording. I want to do a collection of about 4 cover tunes and give it away. I want to do:
Rainbow Connection - The Carpenters/Kermit The Frog Big Bad Bill Is Sweet William Now - Van Halen Little Prayer - Cornerstone Hide - Rose

Is that you, alldat? Great song. What an entertainer! Thank you for sharing it. I think you'll make a lot of people smile with that one. You should do one for the ladies too. You could call it, "Please Love, not another car chase!"

That was me with my fake mullet wig and nylon tattoos!
I will always try to put a couple of silly songs on my gospel blues albums just to help the real message be received better. I want people to know that Jesus loves them from my music, to be able to tell good stories, to be able to tackle social ills, and be able to sprinkle in some humor, too. I do all of that in my real life, so I feel that this helps my music be more realistic. I am so sick of the same ol' generic worship lyrics that just get recycled from song to song. I want lyrics that come off as genuine. So, while I may not get a lot of sales or airplay, I do want to be a light in this dark world to the lost. I also want to be a light to the CCM industry that you can do more than what you're currently doing. Let's put the three R's into Christian music again: realism, rawness, and relevance!
If you haven't heard the album, Jen5, send me a friend's request on Facebook and I will send you a download code.

+1 to what the others said. Jen's idea isn't bad either.

Maybe in the future I will give it a whirl. I've already got my 12 songs for the next release, so it will have to come further out.
Doing two songs would give a "book end" effect kind of like what Weird Al did with his song "Good Enough For Now" and closing it with "You Don't Love Me Anymore". He is all about her. Well, not really; but she was good enough for now. Later, she kept trying to do things to kill him and he felt like she might not love him anymore. Ya' think?

Jim Steinman wrote most of Meatloaf's big hits. His songs are typically dramatic but with an odd sense of humor to them.

...and Weird Al did a parody of Steinman's style in a song called something like "stop sending that sh** to me" or something along those lines.

You won't hear "Weird Al" using bad language or getting vulgar. He's just weird. LOL

Well, with songs like "Walmart Blues" on the last album and both "Please Don't Make Me Watch A Chick Flick" and "Completely Flexible" on the next one, maybe I will get a little recognition for my dramatic humorous musings. LOL "Completely Flexible" is a song about someone who is super conceited and thinks that they are always right. As long as you agree with them, then they are completely flexible.

Probably. Although, this album will already have the bluesy love song "I Love You More Than Meatloaf".
This new album has three silly songs:
I Love You More Than Meatloaf Completely Flexible Please Don't Make Me Watch A Chick Flick
And one ZZ Top parody:
(Burning) Bush
