In this thread I'll post Christian qoutes.
My hope is that the quotes encourage all who read them.

If you don't feel like you're getting the love you should get, then maybe you should ask yourself if you're giving the love you should give.
Don't trust God for things; trust Him in things.

Jeremiah 29:11

Quote :
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

This is what the Life Application Bible tell us more about this verse.

Quote :
You are completely encouraged by a Leader who encourages you to continue. Someone who believes that you can fulfill the task He has given and who will constantly guide you. God is such a type of leader. He knows the future His plans for us are good and hopeful. As long as God, who knows the future, determines our agenda and goes with us when we fulfill His mission, we can have a boundless hope. This does not mean that we will save pain, suffering, or adversity, but that God will help to achieve a glorious result.

My prayer is that it will encourage youu too.

James 1:5-8

Quote :

If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. Such a person is double-minded and unstable in all they do.

Quote :
What is doubt? Doubt is the attitude of the mind, which makes you not completely convinced that God's way is the best way. From such an attitude, God's wordals become a random advice of a meditation; You decide whether or not you obey. Doubt continues to spring back and forth between own feelings, worldly ideas and God's commandments. The drug for a doubtful mind is a complete, cordial devotion to the reliable way God indicates.

What an awesome collection of quotes, rockerVu2. Every week at our church, the PA puts an inspirational quote on the pew sheet. Last year, there was one that I found to be such an inspiration for me that I cut it out and have it at my desk to act as a daily guide...

In happy moments, praise God.
In difficult moments, seek God.
In quiet moments, worship God.
In painful moments, trust God,
and in every moment,
thank God.

Thank you for this awesome thread RV.

James 4:8

Quote :
Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.

Quote :
How can you get closer to God? Jacobus makes us five suggestions.
1. Subject Yourself to God (James 4.7)
2. Resisting the Devil (James 4.7)
3. Wash your hands, that is, lead a pure life and let your heart be pure
     God.
4. Have tears and complain and sincerely sad about your sins (James 4: 9)
5. Understand how small you are for God (James 4:10)
     Bow under the strong hand of God, he will lift you up (1 Peter 5: 6)

Numbers 6:24-26

Quote :
The Lord bless you  and keep you;
 the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you;

  the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.

Quote :
A blessing was a way to ask if God's favor rested upon another.
The old blessing in these verses helps to understand what was expected of a blessing. The five parts expressed the hope that God:
1. They would bless and protect
2. Them to give nearness and insight (happy with them);
3. To give mercy to them (mercy and full compassion);
4. Would keep his eye on them (to approve);
5 .would give peace> If you ask God to bless someone else or bless yourself, ask
     To do these five things to him. The blessing you give helps not only the
     Recipient of the blessing, but will also show love, encourage others and leave
     See how to take care of others.

1 Peter 2:4-6

Quote :
As you come to him, the living Stone—rejected by humans but chosen by God and precious to him— you also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. For in Scripture it says:

“See, I lay a stone in Zion, a chosen and precious cornerstone, and the one who trusts in him  will never be put to shame.

Quote :
Christians will sometimes experience disappointments, but in God they will never be disappointed. God does not let anyone down. We can safely put our trust in Himself, for the eternal life He promises is certain.

John 14:27

Quote :
Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.

Quote :

The result of the work of the Holy Spirit in our lives is a deep and lasting peace. Unlike worldly peace, which is usually described as the absence of conflicts, this peace-free confident security is in all circumstances; If we have this kind of peace, we do not need to fear for the present or future. If you have a life full of stress, let God then give His true peace.

Oh my goodness. You wouldn't know this, but this quote is exactly what I needed.

I just typed out a prayer request for myself (not something I'd usually do) and then I decided to delete it because, well, asking for prayers for myself is not something I usually do.

I have had a long-time health problem. The doctors have FINALLY figured out what's going on. Tomorrow I start a new drug. It has lots of horrid side-effects, but there is no other road for me to take. I am scared.

It took me several minutes to type out my request but then I decided to delete it. When I exited the forum, I went to check my email once more before bed and saw your notification there. So I went back into the forum and there it was...the perfect quote for me. My God is an awesome god. My fear is gone. Peace descends. Thank you RV.

I've asked God, what Bible scripture I had to post for today.
So someone who need this can read it.
Jen, God knows what His children need.

Jen,
You're part of the community now. The Bible talks about how we're a body and if one part suffers, we all suffer. If you need prayer, ask for it - even if you don't give specifics.

I don't want to force your hand but you should go to the WORD section of the forum and post your request.  If you don't I might be tempted to do it on your behalf.

Ah, but I don't need anyone to pray for me now. The Lord provided. RV asked Him what was needed and then wrote exactly what I needed. I am at peace. My fear vanished upon reading those words that I needed so very much. No worries here. But thank you Staybrite.

Samuel 7:13

Quote :
He is the one who will build a house for my Name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever.

Quote :
Did you pray for something with good intentions, but did God say "no" to it?
This is God's way to point you to a greater purpose in your life.
Accept God's "no", requires just as much faith as doing "yes".'
Sometimes God says "no" against our plans. If He does, we must make good use of the other possibilities He gives us.

Quote :
The reason why God did not want David to build the Temple was that God called on David to unite Israel. To accomplish this task, David had to shed a lot of blood. God does not want to build His temple by a warrior. Therefore Solomon, his son, built the temple.

Proverbs 23:7

Quote :
Pay attention to your thoughts.

Watch your mind because your thoughts become your words.

Pay attention to your words, because your words will be your deeds.

Watch out for your deeds, because your deeds become your habits.

Watch your habits, because your habits are your character.

Pay attention to your character, because your character determines your future.
