I haven't done one of these for so long I was having a hard time finding the list that I pick them from.  It's also been so long since I've done one that close to half of you might not even recognize it as being an on-going series (if you go back through the search function and look up "Dumb Kwestion" you'll find quite a few....looks like the last one I posted was in January of 2016).

Without further history lets get down to this episode of frivolity.....

What accomplishment are you most proud of?

(feel free to elaborte)

The public, personal accomplishment I am most proud of is the release of the Joshua's Creed album.

I have a few.

Each year when we celebrate our anniversary, that is a great milestone that I am extremely proud of.  It isn't often that you meet people married as long as some of us here have been.  It is only because of God's grace that we are successful!

I have been proud of all my Mission Of One stuff but realize that the quality wasn't always there.  With the new blues album, I am extremely proud of it as I finally made something that sounded like it was huge and professional even though I am not on a label.

On a church front, I am proud of both finishing my bachelor's degree in Biblical studies back in 99.  I am also proud of both my license and ordaining into the ministry during the 90s as well.  I have tried to encourage and build up kids for many years.  I am proud of the ones who have lived a life for Christ and still pray for those who did not.  I do not count the students as accomplishments as it is Christ who saved them.  He just let me be part of the process.  It really was all Him.

My accomplishments seemed have changed as I got older.
When I was 19 I was very happy that I managed to graduate from Army Airborne training.
When I was 29 I was very happy to have graduated from college (first in my family to have done it)
Three years ago I was immensely pleased to have successfully passed the state engineers license exam.
At 49 I have to say I am proud of the fact that I have let my children live to young adulthood. Smile

When my son was 7 or 8 he was being a little obnoxious, nothing bad, just being a goofy kid.  This conversation happened:

Me:  If you don't knock it off I'll bury you in the back yard next to your brother.
Son: I don't have a brother.
Me:  Not that you know of.
Son: *entered a moment of serious pondering*

lol!  Absolutely fantastic!

I remember Bill Cosby had a bit where he talked about what is father said to him. Kind of reminds me of what you just shared.
Quote :
My father established our relationship when I was seven years old. He looked at me and said, "You know, I brought you in this world, and I can take you out. And it don't make no difference to me, I'll make another one look just like you.

Finally learning the meaning of forgiveness as it relates to my dad

Excellent to bring this series back up. Smile

I think one of the better periods where I got a lot accomplished was last summer. Over the course of 5 weekends, I had a graduation ceremony for the Bible school where I worked, got to visit the former location of a Cree community with a friend I made up North, bought a car, began my first relationship, and got baptized. I'm pretty proud of, in the sense of happy about, those things, and I'm thankful God let me experience so many blessings back to back.

I'm also happy that I'm learning how to adult. I'm in the learning process of doing taxes, I've changed my residency to another province, I'm doing my own passport renewal application, I'll be renting an apartment with a friend soon, I'm cooking on my own… ok, it does sound a bit pathetic even to me, but I have had to deal with my fear of telephone calls.

And, there will always be new challenges.  Learning to adult is a lifelong class that never seems to end.  When you think you can handle adulting, there will be something or someone that you aren't prepared for that will make you wish you could just hole up somewhere in your jammies inside your pillow and blanket fort!

I tend to be more of a self deprecating person when it comes to my accomplishments as I don't see any of them as that special. But if I had to pick one, I guess it'd be having the guts to hold my own seminars on Jehovah's Witnesses. I wasn't the greatest speaker, but I was able (with God's leading) to share 2 sets of 4 days, 1-1/2 hour each on different subjects pertaining to the Watchtower history, Governing Body and Prophetic failures, mind control, and finally how to witness to them.
I'm happy I did that despite feeling sick to my stomach each day standing in front of 30 to 50 people, cuz to this day, 25 years later, I have people who were in the class come up to me and tell me how much help that was in strengthening their own faith as well as the many JWs they've talked to over the years. Does my spirit well.

All these years and I didn't know you had a B.A. in Biblical studies, indeed a fantastic accomplishment.

Oh man that would be amazing.  I've done some very simple 6-track recordings in my friends living room in the early 1990's and it was a major challenge to get anything to sound even half-decent.  That must have been really cool.

I'm incredibly happy to hear this brother, I know the issues with your father have had a very negative impact in your life, I pray this has helped you deal with them.

You help me remember what it was like to be young.  Never take all the blessings God has given you for granted.  From what I can see it looks like you are growing into a fine young man with a great zeal for life (and oddly falvored carbonated beverages).

I'm impressed by anyone with the nerve to get up and talk to people when it is difficult for them, it takes real courage.  I would certainly add to the list of your accomplishments your long and dedicated relationship to your wife (and children....especially considering how you got them).  You are also a fantastic graphic artists, I am always impressed by your paintings, sketches and ink etchings....not to mention your very cool album cover.

I hesitate to say proud, but I'm glad I'm my son's dad. He's adopted and for a long time we didn't think we'd have any kids. He's stubborn, strong-willed and opinionated (though I have no idea where any of that came from What a Face ) but he's also smart, sweet, funny and compassionate. He loves Jesus, baseball and music and I'm happy every day that he's my responsibility.

I'm also glad (I guess you could say proud) that after 19 years of running away from it, I've started the process of becoming a pastor. My wife goes to Guatemala in June and I start school in July to become ordained but my pastor has already been delegating service in the church to help me get there.

This is super cool, and something I seriously admire about you.  My wife and I fostered 5 different children over a 3 year period and it can be a serious challenge.  It takes a special kind of person to raise a foster/adopted child.

But they are very personal.
Things I struggeled with and with God's help I can handle it.

I bet you are proud of those grandchildren, I know I am proud of mine...they are amazing!
You are also fantastic with flower and plant arrangements (the one's I've seen are beautiful).
