While it looks interesting, I am already getting tired of remakes. This is actually a remake of a remake!

more or less. I'm not a big fan of Tom Cruise either. I'll probably watch it on DVD or Netflix, but I don't think I'd go to the theater for it.

If I do, I will go to one of the local theaters that have $5 Tuesdays. The closest theater to me does this and all movies all day on Tuesdays (except 3D) are $5. If you have their reward card, you get a complimentary small popcorn. I think popcorn is gross, so I usually pass or give it to a family coming in at the same time so they don't have to buy more.

I saw that trailer this weekend and my first thought was "Mission Impossible: The Mummy".
I had a few other thoughts as well. 1. Why do they feel the need to cram non-stop action into any movie that isn't a comedy or drama (and even some of those). Not saying that this film won't have some of the humor and character development that made (at least) the first Fraser led Mummy film really entertaining...but they certainly didn't lead with any of that in the trailer. Looks more like a modern non-stop action fest. 2. Please Hollywood (pretty please) quit casting Tom Cruise in action films. I will probably go a little further than BearDad and state that I really dislike Ton Cruise (I'm still more than peeved that they cast him in the role of Jack Reacher). I won't see the movie in theaters, will likely wait until I can borrow a copy for free from my local library.

I actually thought the same thing. And if you've seen the trailer (minor spoiler alert for those that haven't), Cruise's character apparently dies in a plane crash and wakes up in a body bag in the morgue, miraculously whole and undamaged. So ... "Mission Impossible: The Mummy on the Edge of Tomorrow"!!!??? Sorry, too much. Like SB I'll watch this one for free or dirt cheap, but not if there is something else to watch.
