I noticed there is no review of Strypers ATL album. Is it because of the same reason why the covering isn't thier because its not considered by AWL as being a Christain album because of lyrical content.

I also notice that there are Ken Tamplin albums not listed there also. What's up with that.

On a final note, not having anything to do with AWL. Can you tell me what Christain Rock/Hard/Metal band put out the song Amazing Grace.

Hi, I run the Angelic Warlord site and would like to answer your questions.

First, ATL is my favorite of the prime Stryper albums.  The reason I have not done the review has nothing to do with lyrical content; rather I simply have not gotten around to doing a review.  Being that I like the album so much I am surprised I have not put together a review.

BTW, I have reviewed "The Covering".  Following is the link: http://www.angelicwarlord.com/reviews/s/stryper11.html

Also, on a side note: I do not review albums with just Christian content at AWL.  Yes, I review Christian bands at the site, but also what are considered 'bands of Christians' and mainstream bands with Christian members.  Hence, the inclusion of reviews of what are considered well known mainstream artists such as Threshold, Warlord, Pyramaze and others.

Second, I have reviewed Ken Tamplin- his 2003 solo album received a score of 55%.  I am a big fan of his 90's solo albums, but similar to ATL I have not gotten around to reviewing them.

Several.  The first rendition I can remember of it was by the band L.O.U.D.  They released two demo albums that are rather difficult to come by.  This one had a early Stryper sound and feel.

The next version I heard was from P.K. Mitchell on his "All Hail The Power" album.  Great version!

The 3rd version I remember hearing was by Disciple on their "What Was I Thinking?" debut release that they did independently.  It was called "Amazing Grace Blues".

The most recent that I remember was Stryper.  However, rather than call the song "Amazing Grace", they called theirs "10,000 Years".  It was on the "Reborn" album.

I hope that helps, Rich!
