I finally got my Quebec driver's license, after a month. That's one step more towards residency! Smile

Next step is to get a commercial license so I can drive a minibus. I've asked for the medical exam, and I thought I was going to have to pay a lot for my doctor to fill it out (in a month, no less) but there's a local doctor who's friends with the director here who can fill it out tomorrow and probably not for much money, if any. After that, I'll have to head off to the DMV (known here as SAAQ) and do a written test to get my license.

I'm just so relieved I have my license now. One less thing on my mind.

I find it hard to believe they would give a 99 year old a divers license...not even in Canada!

It's lunch time here in the Pacific NW so I went online to check out CHM and also facebook...and I noticed that facebook is down. I guess it has been down for around 30 minutes...so long it is making the news LOL.

I got my medical exam done in approximately no time flat, and all for free! Very Happy

Now I just have to do a few practice tests online before going to the DMV.

Had my allergy tests done yesterday. Seems like I'm not as allergic to grass, trees & weeds as much any more (I had been on allergy shots for about a year while up in DFW). Here in Houston, my tests show that I'm more allergic to molds now. So that means no need for allergy shots now Very Happy

That's good news.
I find I am still quite allergic to grass. I always have to take a shower almost immediately after mowing the lawn.

On my last allergy test, I was allergic to EVERYTHING they test for here in Tennessee: 7 types of grass, weeds, 8 types of trees, house dust, cats, dogs, cattle, horses, various molds, citrus pulp, etc. I have literally been taking shots since 1990. Because of vast improvements over the past year, I may actually get to stop taking the shots next year.

I'm not sure which I didn't like more . . . the scratch test which only had about 20 scratches or the under-the-skin test which had 56!! Shocked
