Mad Max - Interceptor (2013)

I'm not sure how I missed this, but I just heard this record for the first time today. WOW! After years of inconsistent releases, the band came roaring back with an album that easily stands alongside Night of White Rock and White Sands. This thing smokes!

The lyrics don't really seem to be Christian, but I figured it would be okay to post this here since MM are, technically, a Christian band.

Mad Max is an odd band in the "Christian band" pantheon.
I'm not at all an expert, but I think it is quite obvious that they started out as a secular band. One or more of the band members came to faith, and it was reflected in their "Night of White Rock" and "White Sands" albums. At some point (a few years ago) the band was rumored to have reunited with members of their earlier incarnation and released an album was supposedly going to be a return to their original sound (not sure what album that was). I remember a few people at the CMR complaining that the newer album didn't really show any elements of Christian faith, and they were disappointed.

They went back with their original lineup with their 2012 release of "Another Night Of Passion". Their Christian influences heard on a couple of albums was completely gone as they swung back to where the were before launching themselves as a Christian band. I would guess that "Interceptor" follows that same pattern.

I hope they do well.
