| Haha, we'll be competing for cassette giveaways! I still play them, actually played one in the car last night (Rev Seven - The Unveiling). I only get them because they're cheap/free. My collection is modest, but it has good stuff in it. The latest I picked up were actually given to me by a friend of mine who doesn't play them anymore. Those were the Jerusalem live album and Rez - Appendectomy (autographed for my friend's wife). Still haven't played them, mostly because I don't have a tape deck at school. | |

| I still have all of mine but rarely ever play them any more. Sometimes I might pop one in and hope the tape doesn't get eaten up. | |

| I hated cassettes. Never bought a release in that format. I only recorded my records and then CDs to be played in the car until I got a car CD player. I also recorded some of my shows. I still have some of those. Hope they still play some day. _________________ "If you are not concerned about your neighbor's salvation, you should be concerned about your own."

| I have very very few, and most of them I am only keeping because I can't find (or they didn't make) cds for them. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

| I got rid of all my good cassettes back in the 90s in a fit of temporary insanity. It was part of some stupid ultra-religious phase I was going through. In 2000, I started buying CDs. I went and found most of everything I had on cassette on CD by buying new and especially used CDs. I had several demos on cassette that I could not get that way. However, I did a radio show myself for a short time with Intense Radio (Pastor Bob). He had a lot of those old cassettes and let me take them home to put on CD-R. All he asked was to take great care of them and bring them back. Well, bring them back but bring a CD-R copy so they could use it with the station.
I have also recouped a few by buying a bootleg copy or finding the download online if it was available. There are two I still want to find again but I have yet to see anyone who had a decent copy. What are they?
Full Armor - Get Armed Seraphim - S/T (this band was from N. Carolina and the band pic on the cover was a color drawing)
I only have one or two cassettes and I don't play them. At the moment, I am not even sure WHERE they are. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/

| Most of mine are gone. I still have a few that were "made tapes". Several I treasure because they are from many years ago when I was around 9 or 10 years old, made with a childhood friend. Just us cutting up on the recorder and using sound effects, making prank phone calls, etc. He passed away a little over a year ago. The last time I saw him he gave me the cassettes and I converted them over to digital for him and myself. When he passed away I couldn't bear to throw the cassettes away because he wrote all over the labels. In fact, that reminds me I need to back them up (again) in case the hard drive fries.
But commercial cassettes, I have not a single one. Got rid of all of them in the 90's but I made sure I had CD versions of everything I really wanted before getting rid of them. So there is nothing I would miss anyway (commercial releases) because I made sure to replace them with CD's before getting rid of them and then traded them off after I got several on CD. I was smart enough not to throw them away, I took them to used record stores who also traded cassettes.

| Like others here, I've always hated cassettes. My wife bought me a CD-R deck back in 1999 and I spent the next year recording hundreds of tapes to CD-R (then eventually transferred the CD-Rs to my PC as mp3s). Back then you could still trade in about 3 or 4 tapes for credit towards 1 used cd through several different websites - which I did with at least 300 to 350 tapes. The rest of my tapes went to family and friends who wanted them. The only ones I've hung onto are the albums that were never released on vinyl or cd... or just albums that I haven't found a replacement LP or CD yet. | |

| I wish the original Rev Seven albums would be re-released. I know Bill Menchen has no plans to do so, as they're a bit rough around some edges, but I think they sound much more real than the re-records. | |

| I have less than a dozen but still listen to them. One is an LSU release that has a couple different songs than the CD release, the others are tapes I got as a teenager in the hardcore scene... nostalgic, I suppose. | |

| I wish I kept my cassette of Leslie Phillips "Black and white in a Grey World". It has 2 different versions of songs compared to the vinyl/CD. I still have the mp3 recording but wish I had the original still. | |

| I just found an old demo cassette from a band that I was friends with in High School. Need to try to get it transferred to MP3. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

| On the subject of cassette demos and boots, I've been in search of the boot of the Van Halen concert of 1/21/84 at the San Diego Sports Arena. It's out there as I've seen it on different sites, but none of them will respond to my requests for a rip of it. This, of course, was the concert my older brothers took me to when I was 14, so it's got some sentimental feelings behind it. | |

| I had to go old school and break out cassettes last night. My cd player in my room quit working so I listened to cassettes. I was going through some plastic bins I had put in the garage when we moved to oklahoma and lo and behold I opened one up and found it full of over 400 cassettes...80s cassettes |
