new ENDLESS FUNERAL album "Reconciliation" coming

Hey guys, I just wanted to give you an update on the album. It's titled
RECONCILIATION. Drums are being programmed by Jon Hooper once again and I do the rest. The recording is about 80% done and I've started mixing
quite a few weeks before. Hopefully this will be out circa Feb-March
2008.

The album is clocking at about 70 minutes.


For those who enjoyed the guitar-driven songs like The Siren's Call and
Renewal by Death will be pleased to know that the first half of the cd
contains a lot of Power/Thrash elements.

The second half of the cd is more in the vein of A Second Beginning/On my Knees Again/The End of Suffering (piano/guitars). For those of you who liked the extreme vocals, you'll be pleased because there are a lot more... I have also included a piano song with some spoken vocals for those who are not fans of Extreme material.

Sounds great to me, endy. I love the piano side of metal (since listening to Goodbye by Seventh Avenue), and I thought your first CD was great (It's downloaded and on my computer!)

This is good news. I can handle extreme if I can understand it.

Listening to your purevolume site now Martin. I just figured out that you are playing with Jon Hooper (duh), which I think is very cool, cause I love his work with Unforsaken.

Anyway, this sounds fantastic.

Here is a genre question . You are listed as "Metal" and "Death Metal", is there a thing such as "melodic Death Metal"? cause' your metal sounds fairly melodic, which, I LOVE, btw . Man, this is good stuff.

Melodic progressive death metal but it really isn't death metal (unless your new stuff has changed from the old CD). Only the vox have the death feel IMHO and even that is not clearcut. Certainly not traditional death at least.

I still wish you'd just sing of course or at least have more melody and limit the extreme stuff to the parts that merit more aggression. Extreme vox get very boring very fast to me because there's no point unless a song really does need the aggression through the whole thing.

But I'll play whatever you come up with because you're a great guy and you can write good songs even if I don't agree with your vocal approach. Bring it on!
