| This week I received Barren Cross - Rock For The King. Needless to say how disappointed I was to find a cheap cardboard digipack with no information about the band, no lyrics.
I was thinking I've bought an original Barren Cross release of 1986. The CD I have is (re)released in 2014. What do you think? Is this a bootleg? Or was Rock For The King really rereleased this year?

| No, you have the right one. It was released by the band themselves which may be the reason it has a cheap look. I recently picked up the vinyl for 3 bucks so I don't need the CD version. The vinyl version has the lyrics. | |

| I remember buying an offical copy of 'Rattle Your Cage' and finding half the lyrics missing. I had to wait about 5 years for someone to email me the ones I didn't have. _________________ My Christian Metal Website......... Silence Is Madness

| Sadly, as CD sales plummet, record labels are looking for cheaper and cheaper ways to package their wares. It is what we will see from most artists soon before the industry pulls the plug on our beloved discs and force us into yet another age that we didn't want--all digital. We were happy with records and cassettes, but they forced CDs on us. Once we got totally switched over and loving those, now they have MP3 sales and streaming audio sites. It makes me reluctant to switch as I know that they will just come out with something else in another 10-15 years that they will force us to switch to. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/ | |

| This Barren Cross CD was a very cheap one. I've payed $ 15, but I think 5 was more than enough.

| I still have my '86 version on cassette. The only cd version I could find (20 years ago) was the Montrose remix, which I never liked. Between these two things, I'm not sure how long it's been since I listened to the album. | |

They don't want to us to own music at all. It's all about streaming these days. Just a rental service.

| Actually, the kids do like owning some music. They like to have their favorite songs on their phones so they can listen to those when they run out of data or can't jump on the wi-fi.

| Interesting...
I know the big companies don't want you to own any of the music.
They would prefer to keep making you poor with unending rentals!
