Female fronted rock bands.

Yep, I know many CHM members are fan of female fronted rock bands.
Tell us what are your favorite female fronted rock bands.

I'm not a true a fan of female fronted rock bands.
There are some bands I really like.
Fighter and Barlow Girl.

Skillet (not sure if they qualify)
Whisper From Heaven

HB (I only like the Finnish versions of their songs)

Wow, it almost seems like this thread was made for me! I am a huge fan of female fronted hard rock and metal....oddly enough I'm not a major fan of the bands with a female opera singer fronting a metal band. I have close to 100 albums from female fronted Christian bands.

My favorites:

For Skillet the same as for Figher a mix of male & female lead vocals.
In that case I can add Skillet to my list too.

The family band, The Lacks also have a fair bit of female vox.

I never bought the Lastwatch album...I got kind of burned out on that sound and just passed on that album. I haven't owned the Veracity album long enough to decide if they are a favorite or not.

Ilia was a bit too "core" (for lack of a better term) for my tastes, but the newer songs on their f.b. site sound a bit more melodic than I remember of their earlier stuff. Icon for Hire was just too pop for me (yes call me picky Laughing

)

I have to confess that I have never even heard of The Lacks...will need to check them out.

The Lacks have a great ministry. Sold everything and took to the road on faith.

I never thought Ilia were that core. Nothing like Neviah Nevi at least. Don't find many all female bands either.

Sadly, Voice of Glass seem to be no more. ForeverAtLast is still active (just starting a tour) but don't think many of the regulars here would care for them. Good ministry band though so I give them bonus points for that. Smile

Another I bet many here would like is Beyond 12 but they seem to be gone as well. Sad

Digging the Beyond 12 sound...but for the life of me don't see where you can even buy any of their music.

Deborah is a great band for Black Metal fans.

I couldn't even figure out how to contact them since I doubt any of the old email links work anymore. I ran sound at a show they did in 2007 so that's how I got the CD.

I liked the first Icon For Hire album, but the second lost me. Over half of it is pop songs that would fit better on a Lady Blah blah album than on a rock record. Yuck!

I have one EP of Ilia and I have not heard of Lastwatch at all.
