Geocaching

Think it's time to find some other geocaches than the traditionals.
Have found tons of them.

The bad thing about doing a multi is when one answer is not correct you can't find the cache.

I went out in the cold today and found 6.  Of those, one was a first to find!  Woot!

Holly and I found three yesterday in Murfreesboro, TN while doing some Christmas shopping and buying supplies to take our youth to feed some homeless people today.

I need to get back out there… pardon me, but I forgot about geocaching for a while. Maybe this weekend, if it's nice out. I had an opportunity to go out in Montréal this weekend, but I didn't take it.

I went back to the same area that I did last week and found the two that I DNF'd and found 4 more for a total of 6 finds today.

It's always fun to find more caches isn't it?

No caching this weekend.

Snow and especially cold are hampering my plans to go geocaching this weekend.

We've had some severe cold, but I can brave it.  With snow, geocaching is almost impossible.

Especially rural geocaching, if you have to walk anywhere that's not shoveled or plowed… Urban geocaching may be impeded a bit by snow, but it's not so bad. And, I might go out tomorrow. Today, I finished 3 assignments, so there wasn't that much time left over.

Geocaching when there's snow is a pain.

Luckily, I will be off a bit extra this week.  Maybe I can sneak a few in on Wednesday.

That will be cool.

Holly and I did 18 in Clarksville, TN on Saturday.  Seventeen were micros, one full size cache that I dropped off a travel bug in, and an earth cache

We have found 2 caches on Sunday.

I am about to leave the house to go to the Middle Tennessee Geocachers Club's annual Christmas potlock.  It is a cool event of a lot of area geocachers with a lot of great food.  We also play "Dirty Santa" with our gift exchange.  I have been twice before.

As with all registered events, this event will count as a cache find.

How's the other geocache club you are a member from doing?

Having a sinusitis is not really cool to go out for caching.

C.A.C.H.E.?  I think it is about dead.  We don't get together much anymore and I am not sure that many of the people still are geocaching.  That kind of makes having a separate club pointless.

That's bummer about C.A.C.H.E. died.
I liked the Viking picnics of them.

The Viking picnic for this year did not happen.

My area has a geocaching group on Facebook, but we do not have an official club by any means.

Holly and I went to a geocaching flash mob event on Saturday.  We grabbed 4 more caches while we were in Murfreesboro for a total of 5 for the day.

That's cool to do a flash mob event.

I think it's time to go to the woods to search lots of tupperware boxes on Sunday.

Helped a geocacher open a Premium cache tonight. It was, in a past life, an ATM safebox and had to be opened with magnets. Although I can't record it as a find (I'm not a Premium member and likely will not become one for a while), I wrote in the log and will be getting an honourable mention from the Premium cacher.

Let me see if I can find the link again that shows how to log a premium cache even if you aren't a premium member.  There is a way, but I don't remember how to do it since I have been a premium member for most of my geocaching time.
