Wow, after listening to the samples on CDBaby, I must say this sounds even better than the last album. The songs seem more "memorable" than much of their previous work.
Really looking forward to getting my hands on a copy.

I can hardly wait until tomorrow at work to spin this for the first time. I got it today, but didn't get to listen to it tonight after work. But, I'll be crankin' it up at BS tomorrow!

Gary, Lordchain is a great band.

The new Lordchain, "Finding Balance", arrived the other day and have been listening to it all weekend. It's a real good album- melodic based songwriting, clean vocals and good production. A solid 8 out of 10.

I've played it to death. My CD has a hole in it. (Wait, that was already there!)

But, the songs are well crafted and melodic as stated. The downtuning gives it a more modern sound, but stays metal at the same time.

I could have used a few more guitar solos, though. A couple of songs have very basic solos--couple more have none. But, some have some good finger work on them.

All in all, this is a strong disc by a great band that delivers the goods year after year.

My CD has a whole in it too. LOL

I love the sound of the guitar on this CD.
The sound is cool.

When the CD stopped after playing the last song I was surprised to hear something again.
I assume this is a hidden track.

Lorchain are known for putting a little extra something at the end of their CDs. The last three have all had an extra track at the end.

To be honest what they put at the end of "Finding Balance" is
not pretty cool.
An extra song would be better.

I thought it was sweet. It is one of the guy's kid singing the opening track from "Soulever". It is darling!

"Soulever" had the one guy doing a British accent and singing a little song.

"Looking Past The Moment" has the dude saying "That's all we've got 'cause that's all we wrote!"

So, the 'bonus tracks' from Lordchain are always kind of silly. We've come to expect that, and I hope they continue with it. I like seeing what they do next.

Most of the time I put an other CD in the CD player so this was the first time I heard it.
Need to check the other Lordchain CDs too.

Agreed, and if I remember correctly they do not list them as a song, so it is not as if you are expecting a real song or anything after the last listed track.

I have listened to a few disc in the couple of years that are just loaded with tracks and several of them are these dorky little comedy things.

Sacred Reign comes to mind they have an album with 19 listed tracks. Only 12 of those are band songs, the rest are mostly goofy sound effects or telephone answering machine recordings. I think VU also did this on one of thier albums.

This is my first post, so I hope I'm doing this right. I want to say thank you to everyone who supports the band. It's very cool to be a part of this site. Reading some of these posts have been a walk down memory lane.

Thanks for the welcome. I'm really looking forward to Cornerstone. Not just playing the concert, but also meeting new and old friends. We have a gig tomorrow night with Thelma's Dog. It's our first concert of '08 and we're playing 'Hiding Place' and 'Life Aside' for the first time live. With 'Life Aside', we will be using keyboards on stage for the first time in 11 years. I'm planning on having photos up on the official site this Sunday and video up next week. Keep us in your prayers.
