I got to thinking, and it hurt. But seriously ...

Resurrection Band's Music to Raise the Dead was a self-produced demo tape that was given away at concerts. It was never professionally duplicated or marketed and distributed, and while the band and/or band members no doubt have rights to the songs themselves, it is likely no-one holds any rights to the "collection." In fact, people probably shouldn't even sell the tape on eBay, as they are then seeking monetary gain for something they did not pay for, or at least shouldn't have. In other words, while I'm no lawyer, I do not believe I am breaking any copyright laws, file-sharing laws, etc., by making the songs from this tape freely available. In fact, they probably already are available somewhere; I'm just too lazy to go looking for them! LOL!

Nor do I think any of the band members really care if the songs are shared; that's how they originally did it .... by giving them away. If the Internet were available in the 70's they probably would have simply given away a card with the web address so people could download at their leisure; that's how some bands do it now. And one thing about Rez ... they were never in it for the money!

I am going to leave this for now as this is definitely out of print. I do have a cassette copy of this. I just never was able to convert it to digital as the tape definitely has been played until the sound quality is pathetic.
