Anyone care for the Olympics?

I don't really have Olympic fever, but I've been watching the Winter Olympics. I'm trying to not care about the politics behind it, but I'm looking at the sports themselves. Some of the events are pretty impressive, like ski jumping where the skier leaves the ramp at highway speeds (almost 60 mph). I'm rooting for Canada and France.

So does anyone have any interest for the Games?

Not so much.
I'm only interested in hockey.

I like the Ski Jumping, Luge and of course Hockey and I'm routing for both USA and Canada. However I can't get into figure skating. To me its not a sport. Its really more of a dance thing.

Any of the judged sports are so crooked it seems a waste to me. I like the speed sports and of course, hockey.

I'm with you on the judged sports. I've heard of alleged bribing already.

I haven't watched any of the Olympics in decades.  Or is that ever?

I seemed to loose interest in the Olympics when they divided the winter & summer games and starting doing them every other year.

Lisa and I dig parts of the Olympics... but this year we're just like "Russia ?  Really ?"
I guess everyone has to have a turn... but Russia ??
They spent way more money than they could afford to build an entire town for this years events... they're gonna just tear it all down when it's over  - what a waste !

And not to mention the crappy conditions these pros are enduring... they can't even see where they're going half the time, and we, the viewers can't even see them either cuz of the hideous weather.

Olympics = Thumbs up !
Russia = thumbs down

Somehow I ended up watching The Bachelor last night. He should have dumped that Nikki chick. She was just pure evil!

I've been catching the hockey games as I can.  The luge, skeleton & bobsled are pretty cool.

Yippeee the America has defeated Czech Republic.
Now the Olympic match hockey for gold would be USA - Canada.

I was watching the Canada – Latvia match at school. This should be an interesting final match.

I like watching most of them as I like good competition.

Most of the school was watching the hockey game today. I was half expecting the Americans to win, but somehow the Canadians scored two goals in as many minutes and won in overtime.
