Mission Of One official worldwide release date is this week!

While the CD has been available through me and through the Tate Music Group site for a while now, the album goes worldwide by hitting Amazong and iTunes this week on Jan. 28th!!!

Let's just hope that I can pick up some extra fans this way.  I would hope to get another chance to do more albums with Tate in the future.

Yes, the success has gone straight to my head!  LOL  Instead of 12 worldwide fans, I now have a couple of dozen worldwide fans.

I hope people who find Mission of One on Amazon and iTunes like the CD as much as we do.

I am also starting to really write for the next project.  I don't know how it will be received, but most of the stuff I am coming up with is quite a bit more blues influenced.  I'm talking Stevie Ray Vaughn kind of stuff.  I'm just going to keep toying around with whatever riffs I get and see what happens.  If it's a change of direction, so be it.  Of course, if I can swing the sound toward the Whitesnake/Red Sea spectrum, that would be cool.  Right now, I am not going to really worry about the style and just keep writing.

I wrote some lyrics a couple of years ago, but they may be a little too cheesy, rock-for-the-rock, '80s Christian metal. I cringe when I read them now. If you're interested in them, though, they're yours to take.

I've got to start getting some of my ideas down on paper lyrically.  I have an idea for a three song story about Judas' betrayal, the crucifixion, and the resurrection.  I am thinking of the song titles being:

Kiss Of Death
Time To Die
Alive

Of course, those are working titles right now.  Also, I want to redo a song that I did on my very first demo tape back in the early 90's.  It's a song about child sexual abuse called "Daddy's Little Girl".  It is a song that will make you made and sick to your stomach as you think about what people do to their children sometimes.  But, it is a song to show that it isn't the child's fault and that there can be healing through the power of God.

I also want to redo "Give It To Jesus" from the Take Another Swig album.  It was nearly 7 minutes and really doesn't need to be.  I want to shorten and simplify it.  When I officially re-release the remastered version of Take Another Swig, that song will not be included.

Do you have a lot of riffs written?

Actually, I don't have them all down yet, but I have a lot running around in my head.  When I get like this, I can usually take what I am hearing in my head and find it quickly on the guitar.

I've been sending out song files on and off all day to pick up a few more PODcasts and perhaps a couple of review sites.  I might even get to do an interview with a magazine in Europe.  We will see what God does!
