Pointless Discussion Vol.2

We all hate commercials when/if we watch TV, but there are some commercials that can set us off.
For example, I don't mind the Mayhem commercials with the dude in the insurance ads being different things that can go wrong. Those are pretty funny. I also like the Rumba ones where those talented people do the "robot" - pretty cool (annoying song though).


But I HATE certain commercials - these are the ones that MUST be muted. My top hated commercials are the Kit Kat ones where people are breaking kit kats constantly and biting into them and it's suppose to be like a rhythm or something, but it's really just annoying noise !
I absolutely despise the swiffer ones where they put the stupid old duster in the attic and the announcer says "but don't worry, your old duster will find somebody new" and they show these cleaning utensils falling in love, while throwing in great 80s songs (ruining those songs forever) like "What about love" by Heart, or "Who's that lady" by the Isley Brothers. HATE the stupid idea behind that commercial, it's as pointless as this discussion.

So what are some commercials that set you off, that you REALLY hate... or do you have any favorites that you think are rather clever and well written ? Here's your chance to vent.....

I hate all the viagra commercials on during prime time when people's kids are in the room watching with them.  I can imagine how difficult it would be to have to explain to your 6 year old why someone would need viagra.

I don't watch enough regular tv anymore to hate many video commercials. However, my wife absolutely hates it when things that are supposed to be food, talks in the commercial.

What I really dislike is when you are listening to the radio and the DJ starts talking about something that happened to them...but it's really a commercial. They might say something like this (acting like they are talking to you)..."Hey the wife and I wanted to get away for the weekend so we went to Redwind Casino..they have the best buffet and some of the loosest slots in the county...so the next time..." etc.
It's kind of like they are insulting our intelligence into believing they are sharing something with us that they will enjoy when they are really getting paid to peddle a product.

And Chris, the worse one now is the his and hers KY commercials. Those are soft porn, bordering on actual porn ! They are on prime time too and I think they are very unneccessary and inappropriate beyond reason.

Let me tell you I hate commercials.
Some commercials are pretty annoying.

I haven't watched TV in a while. I have almost forgotten what commercials are.

Oh, and when I was very little, I was part of a commercial. It was a promo clip for the TV station, and it had various scenes of the community. One of the scenes was at a cross-country ski club, where my family and I happened to be. My dad and I made it into the video. I was a star!

Well, not quite a star, but I was on TV all the same.
