Angela Merkel, a conservative, was re-elected as chancellor. Her Christian Democratic party (CDU) won major victories enabling them to take the majority. The CDU won't have to share power with the left anymore, allowing them to form a center-right government. I can't vote because I'm not a German citizen, but my wife can and does. We are both very happy with the outcome. Praise God!
