X-Sinner - World Covered In Blood

Well, Andy got it right (again) I reckon! I got my copy of WCIB yesterday and I've been listening to it for quite a while now and I think it's great!

I can understand what people say about the mix and that it all sounds a bit blurry and all, but I take that as just having a raw sound. To me there seems to be tons of passion in the recording of the album, and the vocals are great, very much like the first X-Sinner album.

So the vocals and the music are great to my ears, but an added bonus is the lyrical content. Some of the songs are superb, like World Covered In Blood which just works so well for X-Sinner.

Andy's review is spot on and his mark 85% is right too.

Great album, and I'm so glad I've got it.

I am glad that you enjoy "WCIB". IMO, it is one of the overlooked and underrated gems from last year.

But I think you hit the nail on the head in stating that there is "tons of passion in the recording of the album".

I will have to admit that "WCIB" has grown on me over the months of owning it. I still think the overall mix could be better, but the songs are just too fun stylistically to ignore. The lyrics are much better than on past releases.

I still wish, however, that I could really hear that bass and bass drum.

Let me listen again to WCIB if I can hear some signs of a bass and a bassdrum.

It's not as good as Get It, but better than Peace Treaty. That's what I reckon.

I got to see X-Sinner on the "Get It" tour with Dave Robbins! Awesome show and bold for Christ! Good memories with that one... Cool
