Toys R Us & the porn shop

Today I decided to take my youngest son to Toys R Us...his birthday is coming up and he wants this two and a half foot long Millennium Falcon to go with the rest of his Star Wars gear. I don't shop much at Toys R Us here in Germany...so this was the first time at this particular store. As soon as I pulled into the parking lot I noticed that right next to the toy store was a massive porn shop. I mean this store was as big as Toys R Us and it had some hot...er...I mean disgusting billboard ads that covered two sides of the shop facing Toys R Us. Trying to keep my son's attention away from the billboards until we could get into the store took some creative conversation. My son will be twelve and I'm not ignorant to the fact that he will see things that I won't have any control over, but a porn shop twenty feet from a popular toy store? There's not even a fence between the two properties. I mean what is to stop bored perverts from slithering into Toys R Us?

On a side note. There is a bill before congress that would mandate the teaching of homosexuality to kids as young as FIVE! They want to teach them how good it feels to experience sex from "both sides". Last time I checked, it was just a little bit illegal to have sex with a FIVE YEAR OLD! I guess the liberals' true colors are FINALLY coming out.

Nothing like "protecting" the kids until you get full power, then they too are fair game. And I THOUGHT I was a pervert. I reckon I'm not so bad after all...

I think it is just another symptom of the decline of the western civilization.

They do have stores like that here in the U.S. At least we are still "prudish" enough to insist they have dark tinted windows and no visible "smut" as it were, but it is only a matter of time before the states catch up with Europe.

It is really tough, I have an eleven year old son (as well as a 9 year old son, and a 15 year old daughter). We took them all out of public school, in part as an attempt to limit their exposure to that kind of garbage. But you can't lock then in a closet.

That's awful. If there has to be porn shops, then put them right out of the way somewhere - not next to a Toys R Us store.

Put the porn shops right next door to our churches. Then, we will know exactly who to be praying for. Perhaps we might even be able to reach out to some of these people and lead them to Jesus.
