Any Incrave fans here???

I got the new Incrave disc "Dead End" in my recent trade and listened yesterday. Good stuff! Heavy and melodic at the same time.

The lyrics were a little on the dark side, but not in a bad way. The songs seemed to be coming from the standpoint of being at a dead end and crying out for help. The writers are into poetic lyrics and I assume that "crying out on your knees" would refer to praying. So, all in all, I actually like this as a non-Christian could be led by small baby steps towards more questions about God that could take them closer to a relationship with Him. There isn't anything really "in your face", and I don't think that Incrave wanted this.

I had their first CD (before they were Incrave) but sold it. I am wondering now if I got rid of it too soon and should give them another chance.

To be honest the first listening to this new Incrave albums sounds great.
But I have to be careful not all great stuff will be boring after some times of listening.

Their first was similar in style but not quite as polished I'd say.

I'm not too worried about the polish. I just wondered if I did not spend enough time with their debut to really get where they were going lyrically. The newest one, while definitely non an evangelistic album, really got to me quickly. I have felt all of those doubts that they express on this disc.

It wasn't bold at all but it also wasn't quite as dark (lyrically at least) IMHO.

I haven't owned either disc.
I think I remember a sound sample from the first disc that didn't really seem to impress me much.

"Dead End" is a great CD. Catchy songwriting and polished production.

I am reading the lyrics of their debute album.

I have them both. My first one is actually the Evergrace release. Not sure which one I like better as both are really good. No Chris you shouldn't have gotten rid of the first one. Of course knowing you like I do I feel sure you'll have it again real soon.
