| Well he is a somewhat "liberal" commentator. But that doesn't stop him from pouncing on just about everyone (liberal, conservative..etc). I don't agree with a bunch of what he says, but I respect him for being bold enough to have convictions about things (unlike much of the liberal "post-moderns" in my neck of the woods). _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... | I don't consider myself a liberal by any means, but I have to agree with him on a large part of what he said. I think that God is concerned about more than just what Americans are paying at the pumps. We're not the only country wondering what the limit will be on what we're paying. Sure, lower income families are feeling the crunch from this, but staging events like this in privately owned convenience markets just screams "Look at me! Look at me!". I have no problem with them praying about this. But, God can hear whether we're praying privately or publically. I see this as more of a publicity stunt than someone trying to really help. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/ | |

| I agree with Ken Schram that praying for lower gas prices is much like praying for the lottery, and is probably misguided prayer at best. And I completely agree with your "Look at me!" comment.
What I disagree with, is Ken's attitude that God is "too busy" to listen to "dumb prayers". I think God is fully capable to listen (and respond) to absolutely every single prayer. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."
