Gretchen.

After releasing " Mouth Full Of Nails" and "In The Mean Time" it's quiete around this female fronted hard rock band.
I hope the quiet around this band doesn't mean this band has broken up.
Sometimes it's good to take the time to work out an other album, but four years is a bit long.

They did just sort of vanish, didn't they? I wonder what happened. My guess is that they found themselves without a record company (again). It can take some time to finish promoting one CD, work up new tunes, and shop around for a new recording contract. But, they could have broken up. Anyone know???

Just checked their website. They are currently in the studio working on a new CD called "Ritual" that is due out later this year. Looks like they have changed drummers, too.

Isn't the Guitarist and Singer/bassist a husband wife team?

It has been quite some time since their last album, but I really liked it.

Albeit I liked "Mouth Full Of Nails" more than "In The Mean Time" is it interesting how "Ritual" may sounds.
It's good new Gretchen is still working on new stuff.

I'm just the opposite of you. I actually liked "Meantime" much better than "Mouth Full of Nails".
Looking forward to hearing some new music from this band.

With the musical landscape the way that it is, I would guess that Gretchen will continue to move more in the direction of "In The Mean Time" with the new CD.

No your not. It might have something to do with the fact that you heard "Mouth Full of Nails" first, and that kind of set the level for how you would judge the rest of their work.
But I heard "Meantime" first, and then "Mouth Full of Nails" next.

I think their sound changed significantly between albums, so our difference in favorites is completely understandable.
