Review of the new The Seventh Power

I'm glad to see you posting a review of this. If you are reviewing it, then it must soon be available. Being a fan of all Bill Menchen has done, then I am sure that I am going to love this!

After going and reading the review, this can't be released quick enough!

My guess is that a release date should be right around the corner.

If all of his work is going to sound similar, why does he do so many projects? Why not just one band and make that band the outlet for all of it?

I'm jaded because I'm not a huge fan of Mechen's monotone style. Every album this guy plays on sounds so similar to the others.

Good to know, the S/T Seventh Power was a cool album.
Now I have read your review Andy I think the second album is good too.

That's on my wants list!

This is really true. I like Menchen's stuff to a point but it does get really repetitive. Does he use that goofy vocal effect on this disc?

I think The Seventh Power project is supposed to be a continuation of Rev 7, so I don't think it is surprising that it sounds very similar.

But I think Titantic, sounds considerably different that either Rev 7 or the Seventh Power IMO.

Looking forward to the new Seventh Power disc as well, I didn't realize it was coming out so soon.

There still is no word on when this will be released.

Dynamis, did you receive a full release copy or just a CD-R?

I wrote the review off a CD-R and used a jpg of the artwork that was sent as an attachment. Uncertain about a release date but would like to think that it is right around the corner.

The newest Seventh Power CD will be released in May.
That's what Bill has written to me.

A 2nd song from the new disc is up on MySpace now called "Raise 'M High".

Cool beans, off to check it out.

I messaged Bill Menchen on MySpace about the release date for the new Seventh Power disc. He said that it was still a few weeks out.
