Disgusting

this past Sunday there was a guest pastor preaching at my church and he mentioned the rise of 'new age religions' that are busting out all over the national scene and leading people to ruin.
he named a specific one for example [i wont mention the name Cool

].

well, as i was flipping through a copy of this week's 'Time' magazine yesterday, i saw a full page ad for that particular 'faith system.'
the ad was for a free, informational dvd.

the words of the ad said it all:

When in doubt,
pray.

When in prayer,
doubt.

absolutely disgusting.

Can you tell us more about this? I haven't seen those ads. Is it Oprah's new religion?

i dont think it's Oprah's whack-job 'religion'.

if you happen to see the latest issue of 'Time' magazine anytime soon [it has a picture of the pope on the front], flip through that and you'll find it. it's the first time i've seen an ad like this, myself.

Just looking at the beliefs of this "church", these guys are deceiving many. Right there, they state that they are seraching for truth on many paths.

But, we know from the word of God that Jesus is "THE way, THE truth, and THE life". All other paths are part of the wide road that leads to destruction.

it's a 'faith system' designed to fit the world, rather than requiring the world to change.

The whole "All roads lead to the same place" philosophy is "almost" right. But nobody wants to go to the place that all but one road lead to.

In the Bible you can read that more false prophets and false doctrines are coming.
I think we have to be very carefull to these things.
Stay close to God and then you know that is true.
